Product Operations Manager Vs Product Manager

Product operations and product managers are similar in that they are both responsible for overseeing the production and development of products, services, and projects. However, there are some key differences between the two. Product operations managers are more focused on the execution of the product and its delivery to the customer. They manage the entire product lifecycle, from planning and development to launch and maintenance. Product managers, conversely, are more focused on the strategic side of product development. They are responsible for understanding customer needs, researching the market, and designing a product that meets those needs. Product managers are also responsible for setting and communicating the product roadmap to stakeholders. Both roles play a critical role in the success of a product, but each has its own unique set of responsibilities.
